FOXHOUND

The FoxHound is a portable, weather resistant, inertially stabilized antenna tracker that is used for mobile or stationary long-range tracking and communications with Unmanned Systems. The positioner can dramatically reduce current Ground Data Terminal/GCS footprint size by consolidating multiple pieces of equipment into a single piece of equipment that requires no tools to assemble. The FoxHound supports mounting RF payloads, FMV cameras, SIGINT equipment, etc. on the PTU head making this a truly agnostic search and track platform with well thought cable management to allow continuous 360-degree functionality. The platform has an integrated Inertial Navigation System that compensates for dynamic conditions imposed during mobile operations on land, or at sea. The system contains two hot-swappable DC power inputs and an internal battery with an 8-hour runtime, allowing for continuous operation regardless of the power source. All internal circuitry is designed and produced by Foxtrot Research with the highest quality materials and craftsmanship. Multiple antenna options covering the L, S, and C frequency band.

SOREL

The Sorel kit is a dual band directional antenna kit paired with a pan/tilt unit intended to maximize operational range of a UAV. The antenna panel supports L and S Band operations providing 2 channel MIMO capabilities in S Band. This capability has been demonstrated to maintain link with a Group 2 UAV at distances over 50 NM with a reduced logistical footprint compared to the traditional ground control station. Assembling the 2x2 antenna panel enhances the range further and provides an upgrade to the currently fielded dish antennas.

MOD PAYLOAD

The Mod Payload A-Kit for the Skyraider R80D is a stand-alone kit that interfaces with the platform out of the box allowing the operator to upgrade any platform to Mod Payload compliance in under 30 minutes. The Mod Payload compliant Skyraider can support a single payload, up to 2U in size, on the custom external payload assembly. Payload data is backhauled over the platforms wireless link and disseminated to the operator’s laptop on the ground. Multiple antenna mounting points are integrated onto the platform enabling upward, downward, sideways, and 45°antenna orientations. These orientations combined with the Skyraider flight profile capabilities enable the operator to align the forward facing EO/IR camera with the antenna beam and execute a pattern while keeping the antenna beam on target.

RUT

The RUT kit provides a command and control as well as payload data wireless link to a Group 2 UAV reducing the SWAP of the traditional ground control equipment. Power regulation, managed networking, and a GPS receiver are all provided within the sealed package. When paired with the Sorel kit, the operator is given a long-range line of sight link in a form factor that lends itself well to mobile operations. To date this combination has been proven to a range of 55 NM.

MOON LEASH

Moonleash is a releasable tether system for the Skyraider R80D that provides power to the platform enabling long endurance sustained flight. System status is sent wirelessly to the flight tablet allowing the pilot to monitor tether voltage and when ready release the power tether and fly away on battery power.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY BOMB SQUAD

Donating Foxtrot Research resources is our passion. We heard the local bomb squad was having wireless connectivity issues with their bomb robots during routine operations.

A quick development cycle of a radio replacement kit for the OEM bomb robot proved to not only extend the

line-of-sight range, but also allow operation deeper into buildings while maintaining video feedback. All this was done while providing a cheaper solution to the county allowing for a quicker deployment path.
